The WCB Construction Group has granted a Civil Engineering bursary to The Settlers High School matriculant Lindsey Marsh.
While WCB Construction and WCB Development are both growing rapidly in the national industry, the company has placed a big focus on social development. And part of this contribution includes a bursary to a student who shows massive potential.
Marsh is a prefect at The Settlers High School in Bellville, the alma mater of CEO Wesley Beneke. After showing great results during the year, she was awarded the of the inaugural WCB Civil Engineering Bursary from the WCB Construction Group.
This will see her study Civil Engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology from 2019.
Wesley Beneke said: "It's great being able to be in a position where we can give back. Lindsey is a great candidate with massive potential... the potential to add great value to the civil engineering industry in the Western Cape and South Africa. We would love to see her climb the ranks at WCB in the near future."
The Settlers High School responded in a statement: "We would also like to acknowledge Wesley Beneke as a past pupil for affording her this amazing opportunity. This is such a great legacy and this is how you build a nation. Once again, congratulations Lindsey and thank you Wesley and WCB."
